Decorating a Christmas tree for Tree Awamutu is a great way to share your creative flair with entire community of Te Awamutu. If you have an idea you would love to share with others this could be your chance. Check out our guidelines to see if your vision can be realised in our space.
So we can fit in all the trees and avoid damaging our lighting your tree must be contained in an area no greater than 1.5m x 1.5m and be no taller than 3m.
Plan to contain a Christmas message in the design of your tree that shows who you represent.
Think about engaging the public with intrigue.
Trees without lights get lost in the crowd, so make sure you bring along lights, an extension cord, and a multi-board to help your tree to be seen.
You provide the lights, we’ll supply the power.
The public will have an opportunity to vote for your tree, so remember to consider what might win their vote, or just bring all your friends and tell them to vote for your tree!
Small children will be attending Tree Awamutu, which means they will be looking at and touching your tree!
Make your tree fun but be aware of your audience and how they may interact with your display.
A large tree that included cans of food (which were donated).
A tree with handprints of children at a local school.

A pyramid of (new) nappies in boxes (which were donated).
